Heritage Historical Prints, Inc., located just outside Washington,
D.C. in Burtonsville, Maryland, was organized to provide individuals
with direct access to a wide range of unique, rare, and historic
material.
The firm's parent company, HHR, Inc., was formed in 1992, and
has been a leading supplier of many of the most interesting artifacts
and collectibles offered through major financial newsletters and
national publications over the past several years.
The board members of Heritage Historical Prints, Inc. have been
advisors with many major companies in the art, artifact, and collectible
fields. We have represented such firms as Georgetown Galleries,
investment quality collectibles; Shiloh & Co., a leader in Antique's
and Civil War memorabilia; Collectible Portfolios Corp., and a
network of prominent clients from all walks of life.
Heritage Historical Prints, Inc., has uncovered and made available
to collectors many interesting and potentially undervalued artifacts
and rarities through offerings in major financial publications,
including Philips Publishing International; Agora Publications;
and magazine publications such as Smithsonian; ARTnews; Art and
Antiques, to name a few.
Heritage Historical Prints, Inc's., customer base of over two
thousand active buyers consists primarily of individuals who have
acquired material through offerings in these different publications.
Over the years, Heritage Historical Prints, Inc. has developed
strong working relationships and/or representation agreements
with prominent experts in many areas of art and collectibilia.
These include numismatics; autographs and documents; Americana,
religious printings and manuscripts; vintage automobiles and timepieces;
jewelry; original art and lithographs, among other areas.
Heritage Historical Prints, Inc. conducts ongoing and active
national marketing programs to stimulate interest in areas we
believe are fundamentally sound and well-positioned for future
growth.
Through its network of experts and insiders, Heritage Historical
Prints, Inc. seeks out collectible areas it believes are undervalued
at the time it acquires a major position.
Our four primary criteria for collectibility are:
- Rarity - The Collectible item must be "one of a kind" or
"one of a few," scarce or in demand in such numbers as to potentially
push up prices of the existing supply.
- Originality - The item must be authentic -- not a so-called
"modern issue" or fabricated collection of little potential
long term significance.
- History - The item must have meaningful historic value. ("Historic"
doesn't necessarily mean "old.")
- Active Market - A collectible without an active market is
undesirable. Often Heritage Historical Prints, Inc. itself will
insure a buy-sell market. (Just remember: if only one of something
can be found, but two people want it, then an active market
exists!)
